Tour prices
Tour prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD), based on schedules and tariffs at time of printing. Should there be any cost increases as a result of currency fluctuation, service charges and taxes etc, Spice Road Travel Pty Ltd (“Spice Road Travel”) reserves the right to amend the cost of the tour and/or taxes accordingly.

Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 20% of the total price is required to confirm the booking. Upon receipt of the deposit by Spice Road Travel it will be taken as an understanding that the client has checked their confirmed travel arrangements and has read and agreed to these terms and conditions. If no deposit has been received by Spice Road Travel within 10 days of the initial booking request, we reserve the right to release the booking without notice.

Payment of balance owing
The balance owing (80%) must be paid at least 60 days prior to the commencement of your tour. Should the tour commence within the 60 day time limit from date of booking, the full amount (100%) will be required to be paid at time of booking confirmation.

Methods of payment
Payment can be made by:

  • Telegraphic/Wire Transfer to our nominated US Dollar account; or
  • Direct transfer for Australian dollar account holders into our nominated Australian Dollar account.

You are responsible for all fees/charges levied from your bank etc. and Spice Road Travel will be responsible for similar fees/charges levied by their bank.

Invoices will be issued for all bookings, and receipts for payments. Bookings will be deemed confirmed when funds have cleared into the nominated bank account.

Itinerary changes
Spice Road Travel reserves the right to amend the itinerary for reasons such as road and/or weather conditions or any unforeseen circumstances that may arise after the booking has been received. Where possible, clients will be advised in advance of any major changes however if last minute changes are required once the client is at their destination, these will be discussed directly with the client. Whilst Spice Road Travel provides recommended/preferred accommodation on its webpage, we reserve the right to substitute with alternative properties of a similar standard if necessary

Cancellations
Cancellation fees will be levied relative to the number of days’ notice given.

The above are Spice Road Travel’s cancellation fees. Should the client want to transfer their confirmed booking to an alternative tour, it will be deemed that the original booking has been cancelled.

No refunds will be made for any unused services on or after the commencement date of the tour.

Amendment fees
Should the client want to make alterations to the original tour reservation there will be an automatic US$25.00 fee charged for each amendment or transaction undertaken in addition to expenses incurred due to the changes.

Travel insurance
Spice Road Travel strongly recommends clients take out travel insurance for their entire trip. A comprehensive travel policy covering cancellation of tour, health issues, sports/activities being undertaken where applicable, luggage and expenses incurred as a result of unforeseen circumstances will ensure a worry-free holiday.

Accommodation
Late check-out/early check-in may be requested however the final decision will be made by hotel management based on room availability at the time. Rooms in hotels, etc may not all be of the same size or configuration, depending upon their location within the hotel. Spice Road Travel is not responsible for the allocation of rooms and clients should deal direct with hotel management if they have any concerns.

Passport, visa and vaccinations
The majority of nationalities are able to purchase their Entry Visa upon arrival into Jordan##, Israel/Holy Land, Oman or the United Arab Emirates (if required), however it is your responsibility to check that there are no rules/restrictions relating to your nationality. You must be in possession of a passport valid for at least 6 months beyond your intended stay overseas. You must familiarise yourself with any visa and health requirements that may be applicable. You are responsible for all entry/exit health and any other documents required by laws, regulations, orders, demands or requirements of countries visited or transited. Please note that passport, visa and health requirements are not the responsibility of Spice Road Travel. We will not be held liable for any loss or expenses incurred due to the failure to comply with any of the above.

##Eligible clients of Spice Road Travel will receive their Jordanian Entry Visa free of charge (value approx. US$60).

Liabilities
Tour costs
Our tour costs have been based on current prices quoted by hotels and transportation companies, etc. However these service providers retain the right to modify their rates without notice. In case of such changes all new rates quoted may be charged by Spice Road Travel to the client.

Loss, injury or damage
Spice Road Travel shall not be responsible for any loss, injury or damage to person, property, or otherwise in connection with any accommodation, transportation or other services, resulting – directly or indirectly – from any act of God, fire, accident, war, civil disturbance, strike, riot or other dangerous situations, a breakdown of machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, theft and pilferages, epidemics or other medical occurrences, or Customs Department regulations, defaults, or any other causes beyond Spice Road Travel’s control.

Delays and alterations to itinerary
Spice Road Travel shall not be responsible for any delays and alterations in the program or expenses incurred – directly or indirectly – due to natural hazards, weather, landslides, flight cancellations or delays, immigration procedures, accidents or sickness, breakdown of machinery or equipment, breakdown of transport, political unrest or closure, or any untoward incidents.

Cancellation of agreement:
Spice Road Travel reserves the right to cancel this agreement at any time, by giving notice in writing, should the client fail to fulfil the terms and conditions.
